Talk: Step Up to A-level Physics · Free session · 20 August 2026

Understand how to excel in A-level Physics.

For students and parents preparing for A-level Physics.

You will hear that A-level is a big step up from GCSE, but what does that step actually look like? This session will outline what changes at A-level, introduce you to the skills that separate top students, and demonstrate how to apply those skills to real A-level exam questions.

Dr James Faulkner
Taught by Dr James Faulkner, PhD in Physics (University of Cambridge), GCSE and A-level Physics teacher.

In this session you will

Understand what makes A-level different
How it is different to GCSEs and what that means for how to successfully approach it.
Get familiar with the skills that separate top students
